Message from the President
회장 인사말
그동안 선교 전략이 선교사의 증가와 선교기지의 확장에만 기초한 것이었습니다. 그러나 선교는 현지 자국인 사역자들을 양성하는 데 집중해야 합니다. 왜냐하면 Roland Allen 선교사가 지적한 대로, 어떤 종류의 신앙이든지 이를 외국인들이 다른 국가 전체에 성공적으로 확산시키는 것은 불가능하기 때문입니다.
그 신앙이 그 나라 국민들에 의해 자연스럽게 받아들여지고 확산되지 않는다면, 그것은 부정적인 영향을 미치게 될 것이며, 심지어 이질적으로 여겨지기 때문입니다. 이런 점에서 예수세계선교회는 처음부터 현지인 사역자 양성에 집중해 왔습니다. 이제는 그 결실을 거두어 자립된 선교지에서 다른 지역으로 선교를 시작하는 걸음마 단계에 이르렀습니다.
여러분의 기도와 후원을 통해서 복음이 효과적으로 전달되며, 아름답게 지역 교회가 세워질 것입니다. 그리고 장차 주님의 보좌 앞에 서게 될 때, 우리가 후원한 선교사들을 통해서 주님께로 나아오게 될 수많은 영혼들을 만나게 될 것입니다.
Missions' strategy has been based primarily on increasing the number of missionaries and the expansion of the mission base. However, missions should focus on developing local native workers. As missionary Roland Allen pointed out, no matter the faith, it is impossible for foreigners alone to successfully spread it across the entire country.
If faith is not intrinsically accepted and disseminated through the people of that country, there may be negative consequences, and it may even be considered alien. In this respect, Worldwide Frontier Mission Crusade has been focusing on training local workers from the beginning. Now, as the fruits of our efforts, we have reached the stage of mission teams from former mission bases spreading the Gospel to other regions.
Through your prayers and support, the Gospel will be delivered effectively and ensure a solid foundation for the local church. When we eventually stand before the Lord's eternal throne, we will meet countless souls who have come to the Lord through the work of our sponsored missionaries.

초대 회장 최용걸 목사
1st President · Dr. Young K. Choi
1988년 10월, 현지인 사역자를 발굴·훈련하여 교회를 세우고, 그들을 신학적으로 양육하여 건강한 교회를 세우려는 목적으로 최용걸 목사와 최진자 사모에 의해 시작되었습니다.
Founded in October 1988 by Pastor Choi Yong-geol and his wife, Choi Jin-ja, to train local ministers, plant churches, and build healthy congregations through theological education.
